DAN O’NEILL Movement Director & Choreographer Dan is a movement Director & Choreographer with an extensive career in Film & TV, Opera & Theatre.
His skills range from dance choreography, movement direction/physical theatre to bespoke movement coaching for actors and performers.
He created the physical vocabulary of the “Synths” (Ai robots) for the critically acclaimed, BAFTA nominated Humans, Channel 4; the “Creatures” in Curfew, Sky TV and was the movement coach for Gillian Anderson’s and her award winning portrayal of Margret Thatcher in The Crown, Netflix. Dan worked on the new TV series Alien/Earth for FX Productions a new project for Apple TV+ and on the English National Opera’s production of The Turn of the Screw. In 2023 he provided the choreography for the critically acclaimed Symphony of Sorrowful Songs at the ENO and for the production of Falstaff at the GNO, Athens. Opera & Theatre credits include Faust, Mariinsky; Parsifal, ROH; The Marriage of Figaro, Gothenburg; Wolves in Walls, National Theatre of Scotland; Peepshow, Frantic Assembly.
Trained at London School of Contemporary Dance, Dan danced for many leading companies including DV8, The Featherstonehaughs, Toronto Dance Theatre. A regular visiting tutor at RADA, he has also created work on film, lead workshops at Universities and delivered projects in prison.
